Hampshire County 23/12/05  The County 1st team, without two of their regulars because of injury, did not have a good weekend at the second round of matches in the National Division 1 championships at Walsall on the 17/18th December.  On the Saturday they lost 10/0 to leaders Yorkshire and then 7/3 to Essex.  Sunday was no better; going down 7/3 to second placed Warwickshire.  They are now at the bottom of the table on 18 points with a lot to do to avoid relegation.  The next series of matches is early in April and Hampshire play Avon, Gloucestershire and Lancashire.  All four of these counties are in the relegation zone and much will depend on the outcome of the matches between them,
