The Personal Performance Coaching Course to be
held on 13th November at the Westgate Centre is now fully booked
with a couple already on a waiting list.
Mixed Match Report
- 21/10/05 Although they had only
two pairs Andover Sports A in Mixed Division 1 still managed a 5/4 win
at Winchester Road 5/4 over Beechdown B.
Daniel Sheppard/Sandra Smith recorded the sole Beechdown B
victory while Emerson Cumberbatch/Sandra McDonald won a maximum for the
visitors complimented by two rubbers from Shaun McDonald/Liz Roberts.
In the same division three rubbers from James Bevis/Karen Bayman
helped Viking A to a narrow 5/4 victory over BH Pegasus A at John Hunt
School. Tony Coombes/Ingrid Hart and Scott Wilkins/Susie Hubbard won
one each to complete the win. David
Burrell/Kim Street and Abdul Khan/Lesley Acheson won two rubbers each
for the visitors. Brother
and sister Neil Marie/Andrea Hill won a maximum three rubbers for
Beechdown A in their 8/1 win against BH Pegasus B at the Sports Centre.
Peter Seward and Madge Cummings did likewise with
the other two rubbers won by Daniel Sheppard/Sandra Smith.
Martin Davey and Linda Rapacioli were the winners of the home
consolation point.
Phil Hood and Lee Timperley won two rubbers for LoddonSherpas B before
an injury to Phil Hood meant that they had to concede their final rubber
to Beechdown C in a Division 3 encounter at Winchester Road.
The final score was 7/2 in favour of the home team with Nigel
Appleton/Jan Macdonald, Paul Deed/Cathryn Perkins and Keith Dawson/Sara
Grant all winning two rubbers. Matthew
Savasiano/Carolyn Neale were undefeated when their side, Phoenix a lost
5/4 to Waverley B in a closely contested Division 4 match.
The other rubber for the losers came from Paul Nightingale/Nicola
Blake. Ian Aherne/Jo Berry
and Philip Quinn/Gill Trimmer both won two rubbers for the winning home
team supplemented by one from Ray Rich/Margaret Quinn.
Whitchurch had their second win of then season in beating
visiting Aldermaston B 8/1 at Whitchurch.
Dave Cooley/Vivienne Hazell and Sean Mallard/Ellen Dennett both
recorded maxima for Whitchurch supported by two rubbers from Peter
Askew/Diane Sabin. Graham
Page and Rhian Jenkins claimed the sole point for the visitors.
Ladies Match Report - 21/10/05 Sandra McDonald and Pauline Prior were the only home Andover Sports pair to win a rubber in their side’s 8/1 defeat by Viking in the Ladies 6 Division of the Ian Dewar (Castlegate Investments) sponsored league. Ingrid Hart/Susie Hubbard and Juliet MacAskill both scored maxima for the winning visitors supported by the other two rubbers from Karen Bayman/Diane Cooper. Later Viking had a narrow 5/4 win against LoddonSherpas at John Hunt School. The Matthews sisters, Stephanie and Cheryl won three of the losers rubber with the fourth coming when Karen Bayman was forced to concede her final rubber due to an ankle injury. Ingrid Hart/Susie Hubbard and Juliet MacAskill/Jane Halls won two rubbers each for the home team with Karen partnered by Diane Cooper winning the fifth.
Mens Match Report - 21/10/05 Phoenix Mens B gained nine points in Division 3 when Waverley were unable to raise a team to play them.
