Mixed Match Report - 15/11/05  Andover Sports A won a close 5/4 match against BH Pegasus B at Andover in Division 1 with Shaun McDonald/Liz Roberts and Emerson Cumberbatch/Sandra McDonald both securing two rubbers complimented by one from Damien Roberts/Pauline Prior to reach the five.  Jonathan Phillips/Doreen Quilter recorded two of the loser’s rubbers with Martin Davey/Linda Rapacioli and Andy Lang/Sue Lorraine getting one each.  

In their first outing of the season St Marys accounted for Viking C with a 7/2 scoreline in Mixed Division 2.  Ian Shoard and Jane Halls won the two visitors rubbers while Mark Ferguson/Margaret Mason won their three for St Marys with Andrew King/Debbie Freeman and Tony/Lyn Glinos contributing two each. 

After a good start to the season with two successive victories Whitchurch could only produce two pairs to face Phoenix A in Division 4 at Sherfield School, losing 6/3.  Dave Cooley and Moya Abbott won two of the visitor’s rubbers and Stuart Gordon/Pat Hunt won one.  Matthew Savastano/Carolyn Neale won tow rubbers for the home side with Tim Little/Averil Mason
getting one.  Whitchurch still head the table by one point ahead of Phoenix A. 

Led by a maximum from Steve Woodward/Liz Firth LoddonSherpas C accounted for Beechdown D in Division 5 with a 6/3 scoreline.  Phil Neal/Eve Bielby won two rubbers for the winners and Arjun Karnad/Caroline Thompson got the sixth.  Two rubbers for Beechdown D were won by Chris Meeking/Leanne Francis and one by Mark Bowles/Brenda Redwood.
   


Ladies Match Report - 15/11/05  Viking in the Ladies 6 Division continued their winning run with a narrow 5/4 win over last season’s champions BH Pegasus in the Ian Dewar (Castlegate Investments) sponsored league.   This victory was achieved despite a maximum from the home side’s Kim Street and Lesley Acheson with Amanda Marsden/Sue Lorrain winning the fourth rubber.  Two rubbers each from Ingrid Hart/Susie Hubbard and Jane Halls/Karen Bayman supplemented by one from Ruth Cairns/Sarah King completed the scoring for the winners.  Sue Clarke, Karen Causley, Ann Viney and Lorraine Phillips were the four Andover ladies who beat visiting Phoenix 6/0 in the Ladies 4 Division


Mens Match Report - 15/11/05   Aldermaston suffered a 9/0 home defeat at the hands of BH Pegasus A in Mens Division 1.  The winning team was Jonathan Phillips/Martin Hill, David Burrell/Martin Davey and Andy Lang/Carlo Rapacioli

Firefly, in Mens Division 2, beat Beechdown B 8/1 at Winchester Road to keep in the top three in the table along with BH Pegasus B and Viking B.  Steve Webb/John Weston and Phil Pike/Scott Armstead each recorded maxima with Colin Pink/Mick Turrell chipping in with two rubbers.  Paul Dee and Chris Meeking scored the loser’s consolation point.  Alresford got their first points of the season when they lost 6/3 at home to Hurst.  Each of their pairs, Scot Page/Ted Dowson, Nigel Butcher/John Read and Marc Page/Dani Fuller won one rubber with Adam Jesney/Stephen Hartwell and Alex Wigmore/Ray Monger both getting maxima for Hurst. 

In Division 3, LoddonSherpas B had their first win in three outings when they beat a two pair Whitchurch team 5/4 at Whitchurch.  Dave Cooley and Denis Hazell won their three rubbers for the home side with Peter Askew/Dave Major getting the fourth.  Arun Karnad/Phil Neal and Steve Pote/Paul Bonner each won one rubber for the winners.  Tim Little/Matthew Savastano, Bob Cosgrove/Matthew Hawkins and Paul Nightingale/Paul Verling made up the Phoenix A side which accounted for Waverley 9/0 in the same division.  Phoenix B went down by the same score to BH Pegasus C whose team was James Skilton/John Franklin, Steve Tribe/Ray Chow and Jon Brooks/Stuart Braine.


Hampshire County 15/11/05  A 6/4 defeat of Surrey , a 6/4 defeat by Worcestershire followed by an 8/2 defeat at the hands of a strong Hertfordshire team left Hampshire 1st team with only 12 points and in 9th place in a table of 10.   



Coaching Course
-15/11/05      
The Personal Performance Coaching Course  held on 13th November at the Westgate Centre was very successful with several good reports already received.  The participants were keen to have a follow up course, perhaps in February next year.
