Knock-Out
Cup 14/04/05
In
the first semi-final of the Knock-Out Cup, Waverley (+10) defeated
Beechdown (-4, owe a hand) 160/135.
Waverley’s ladies, Caroline Rodbourne, Debbie Symes and Avril
Mason won the three level doubles with good scores to give their team a
start.
Beechdown won two of the Mens doubles but were 38 points down
with only the three Mixed doubles to play.
The task proved too much for although they won all three of these
doubles the Waverley pairs secured sufficient points in each to
ensure victory.
Waverley will now play either BH Pegasus (-2, owe a hand) or St
Marys ((+2) in the final
