Ladies Match Report 11/11/04   BH Pegasus ladies in the Ladies 6 Division of the Ian Dewar (Castlegate Investments) sponsored league have any early lead having beaten Beechdown 7/2 at Winchester Road.  Ruth Seward and Andrea Hill were the only successful pair for the home side.  Anu Davies/Ling Tan won their three rubbers for the winners complimented by two each from Amanda Marsden/Fiona Tebbutt and Lesley Acheson/Kim Newman.


Mens Match Report 11/11/04   Daniel Harvey/Tim Corke, Peter Seward/Neil Marie and Mick Cummings/Daniel Sheppard comprised the Beechdown Mens A side which defeated lowly BH Pegasus B, who had only two pairs, 9/0 in Mens Division 1. 

Aldermaston beat Andover Sports C 6/3 at Andover in Division 2.  Nick Gladwin/Geriant Griffiths won the three rubbers for the home team with each of the visiting pairs, Lawrence Sutton/Paul Roper, David Lowe/Rod Jenkins and Graham Page/Neil Hince getting two.  This victory gives Aldermaston an early three point lead over Firefly who have a match in hand.  The match between these two teams at the Hurst next week could give a pointer as to which will eventually top the table. 

After two early season defeats third Division Whitchurch got back to winning ways with a 5/4 home victory over Alresford.  Steve Gordon/Dave Cooley and Dave Major/Steve Watts both secured two rubbers and Sean Mallard/Phil Cooke one for the winners.  Scott Page and Bob Thirkell won a maximum foe Alresford with Ted Dowson/John Read supplying the fourth. 

In Division 4, Basing Cavaliers were only able to put out two pairs to face Andover at Andover and lost 8/0 in a time constrained match.  John Daley/Ivor Brojek, Alan Dixon/Peter Fletcher and Geoff Lewis/Michael Jenkins comprised the winning home side.


Mixed Match Report 11/11/04    
In their first match in Mixed Division 1, which has just been reported, Sherpas A lost 6/3 to visitors Viking A.  Each of the home pairs, Chris Young/Stephanie Matthews, Ian Young/Hayley Kopp and Phil Kopp/ Cheryl Matthews won one rubber.  Jonathan Phillips/Karen Bayman set up the win for Viking A by winning all three of their rubbers supported by two from Richard Whatley/Diane Cooper and one from Tim Cooper/Ruth Seward. 

Basing Cavaliers, Steve Gaunt/Judith Lillis, Richard Dearman/Sheila Weston, Andrew Dance/Jan Hall, started their Mixed season with a 9/0 defeat of Sherpas B in Division 4.  Phoenix B travelled to Aldermaston to beat the home B side 5/4 in the same division.  Paul Nightingale/Jan Hodges recorded a maximum for the winners supported by two rubbers from Steve Sexton/Carolyn Neale.  Glynn Libberton/Joan Vinall won two rubbers for the losers with Rod Jenkins/Lucinda Blain and Paul Roper/Emily Eadingham getting one each.


Knock-Out Cup 11/11/04 In the first round of the Knock-Out Cup Waynflete beat Aldermaston 169/147 in an exciting match at Winchester.
