Mixed Match Report - 05/10/05  James Bevis and Karen Bayman won a maximum three rubbers for their team when Viking A beat Andover Sports A 6/3 in the first match of the season in Mixed Division 1.  Tim Cooper/Susan Hubbard won one rubber and Tony Coombes/Ingrid Hart recorded the other two.  Emerson Cumberbatch/Sandra McDonald won two rubbers for the losing home side with Shaun McDonald/Liz Roberts getting the third.   Last season’s champions, Beechdown A dropped one rubber to their B side in the same division to Daniel Sheppard/Sandra Smith.  Brother and sister Neil/Andrea Marie scored three rubbers for the winners as did Peter Seward/Madge Cummings with Mick Cummings/Karen Southwell getting the other two.  

Another inter-club match saw Viking B beat their C team 9/0 in Division 2.  Chris Powell/Juliet Macaskill, Scott Wilkins/Jane halls and Graeme Berry/Ruth Seward were the three successful pairs. Phil and Susan Pike recorded a maximum three rubbers for Firefly in their 6/3 home victory over Beechdown C supported by two rubbers from Colin Pink/Kim Scott and one from Colin Crockford/Rosemary Pomroy.  Nigel Appleton/Jan MacDonald won two rubbers for the losing visitors with Tim Jeffries and Leanne Francis securing the third.  

There were two 6/3 results in Division 4.  In the first Matthew Savastang/Carolyn Neale and Paul Nightingale/Averil Mason both won three rubbers for Phoenix A in their defeat of Aldermaston B at Sherfield School.  Each of the visiting pairs, Rod Jenkins/Joan Vinall, Paul Roper/Hannah Ward and Graham Page/Rhian Jenkins won one rubbers.   In the second match Whitchurch beat Basing Cavaliers at Old Basing with all three of the home rubbers won by Steve Gaunt and Judith Lillis.  Stuart Gordon/Diane Sabin, Dave Cooley/Vivienne Hazell and Sean Mallard/Ellen Dennett won two rubbers each for the winners.

Ladies Match Report - 05/10/05  In the first match in the Ladies 6 Division Waverley lost 8/1 at home to Viking.  Caroline Rodbourne and  Sandra Jennings were the only pair to win a rubber for the home side while Jane Halls/Diane Cooper and Karen Bayman/Sarah King each notched up maxima for Viking supported by two rubbers from Ingrid Hart/Susie Hubbard.

Mens Match Report - 05/10/05  A BH Pegasus B side in Mens Division 2, Steve Glover/Dale Turpin, Nick Harvey/Alex Groom and Carlo Rapacioli/Parasanth Kumeran proved too strong for visiting Beechdown B beating them 9/0.  

Meanwhile the BH Pegasus C team led by a maximum from Andrew Minting/Kevin Harris beat LoddonSherpas B 7/2 in Division 3 at the Sports Centre. To complete the scoring for the home side James Skilton/John Brooks and Ray Chow/Steve Tribe secured two rubbers each.  Seth Ball and Matthew Frost won the two rubbers for the losers.   Andover accounted for Phoenix A at Sherfield School by the same score with Paul Verling/Neil Matthews and Bob Cosgrove/Matthew Hawkins winning one rubber each for the home team.  Dave Sneddon/Paul Fletcher obtained a maximum for Andover supplemented by two each from John Harris/Ivor Brojek and Mark Jenkins/Geoff Lewis.
