Mens Match Report - 02/03/06    In Mens Division 2, Firefly helped their promotion hopes with a 8/1 victory over Hurst at the Hurst.  David Ord and Mark Payne won the solitary rubber for Hurst while both Steve Webb/John Weston and Phil Pike/Scott Armstead obtained maxima for the winners supported by two rubbers from Colin Pink/Mick Turrell.  

James Skilton/Andrew Bosworth won two rubbers complimented by one from Steve Tribe/Andrew Minting for BH Pegasus C when they lost 6/3 to Phoenix A at the Sports Centre in Division 3.   Paul Verling/Paul Nightingale won their three rubbers for the winners with Tim Little/Matthew Savastang scoring two and Matthew Hawkins/Bob Cosgrove getting the sixth.  In the same division a two pair LoddonSherpas B team faced Whitchurch and went down 6/3.  Peter Matthews and Paul Bonner won two of the loser’s three rubbers and Arun Karnad/Mike Powell won the other.  Dave Cooley/Stuart Gordon won two rubbers for Whitchurch with Sean Mallard/Phil Cook doing the same.

Mixed Match Report - 02/03/06   Following a 8/1 defeat of Beechdown B in Mixed Division 1, Viking A are now only three points behind leaders Beechdown A.  Both teams have three matches to play to complete their programmes and the final match for both against each other on 27^th April at Winchester Road will probably decide the champions.  Daniel Sheppard and Sandra Smith won the sole rubber for Beechdown B while Tim Cooper/Susie Hubbard and James Bevis/Rachel Phillips kept clean sheets for the winners supplemented by two rubbers from Vince Young/Ingrid Hart.  

In a time constrained match at Old Basing visitors Phoenix A beat the home side 6/2 in Division 4.  Matthew Savastang/Carolyn Neale won three rubbers for Phoenix A supported by two from Tim Little/Averil Mason and one from Bob Cosgrove/Nicola Blake.  Steve Gaunt/Samatha Taylor won one rubber for Basing Cavaliers as did Andrew Dance/Judith Lillis
