Coaching Courses 06/11/07   Both courses, 11th and 18th November have had to be cancelled.


Ladies Matches 06/11/07  Sue Clarke took part in three of the successful rubbers for Andover when they drew 3/3 with visitors Waverley in the Ladies Division of 4.  Karen Causley was involved in two winning rubbers and Laura Phillips in one to complete their scoring   Heather Mountford and Gill Trimmer were involved in one winning rubber each for Waverley and Caroline Rodbourne in two. 

BH Pegasus beat LoddonSherpas 6/3 in the Ladies Division of 6 with Anu Davies/Amanda Marsden scoring a maximum.  Sally Holmes/Kim Street won two rubbers and Jenny Skilton/Sarah Mauser got the sixth.  Cheryl Matthews/Sue Evans won two of the loser’s rubber with the third coming from Liz Firth/Sandra Jennings.  Sue Hartfield/Liz Roberts, Sandra McDonald/Liz Jones and Val Wheeler/Ellen Dennett were the three successful Andover Sports Ladies pairings which defeated Phoenix 9/0 in the same division.


Mens Matches 06/11/07   LoddonSherpas A continued their winning streak with a 7/2 home victory over BH Pegasus C in Division 2.  Phil Hood/Mark Gentry started them off with a maximum and then Mitchell Hockley/James Webb and Ian/Chris Young won two rubbers each.  Steve Glover/James Skilton recorded the tow rubbers for the losers.  

In Division 3, a maximum from Bob Cosgrove/Matthew Savastand set Phoenix B on their way to a 7/2 win against visiting Whitchurch.. Andy Jones/Tim Pink and Mark Cleave/Mark Fuller supplied two rubbers each to complete the victory.  Stuart Gordon and Peter Askew won the two consolation rubbers for the visitors.   In the same division, Aldermaston, beat early leaders Beechdown B 6/3 at Winchester Road.  Neil Marie and Nick Jones won the three rubbers for the home side with each of the visiting pairs, David Lowe/Chris Apsey, Neil Hince/Michael Ling and Rod Jenkins/Lawrence Sutton securing two. 


 Mixed Matches 06/11/07  Following a 8/1 home victory over Andover Sports A in Mixed division 1, BH Pegasus A have taken an early 3 point lead in the table.  Both David Gough/Kim Street and David Burrell/Anu Davies recorded maxima for the winners supported by two rubbers from Martin Hill/Amanda Marsden.  Shaun McDonald and Liz Roberts won the consolation points for the visitors. Elsewhere in the division husband and wife, Carlo/Linda Rapacioli won a maximum three rubbers for Viking B in their 5/4 home defeat by BH Pegasus B.  Stuart Cheng/Emma Day won the fourth rubbers for the home side.  Alex Wigmore/Doreen Quilter and Kevin Harris/Kim Street won two rubbers each for the winners complimented by one from Richard O’Kelly/Jenny Skilton.

In Division 2 both Beechdown A and B teams were in action with both recording 6/3 home victories. Neil Marie/Andrea Hill won their three rubbers, Martin Webb/Hayley Kopp won two and Daniel Sheppard/Karen Southwell one when the A side beat Viking C.  Neil Hodges/Sophia Rapacioli won two of the loser’s rubbers with the third coming from Milo Rapacioli/Diane Cooper.  Mark Bayliss/Tracy King won three rubbers, James Bartlett/Sandra Smith, two and Simon Johnson/Kate Appleton one in the Beechdown b win against BH Pegasus C.  James Skilton/Nicky Major won tow of the loser’s rubbers with Dale Turpin/Jean Deverill getting the third. 

Despite three rubbers from Greg Sudell/Alison Rendall Phoenix A still lost 5/4 to Andover Sports B at Andover in Division 3.  Jon Thomson/Carolyn Neale won the remaining rubber for the visitors.  Chris Clarke/Val Wheeler and Geriant Griffiths/Sue Hartfield wont two rubbers each for the home  team supplemented by one from Ian Swatton/Liz Jones.  

Richard James/Kuki Lota won their three rubbers for Waverley B in a 7/2 home defeat of Phoenix B in Division 4.  Colin Huntley/Christine Fowler and Peter Aling/Heather Mountford supplies two each to complete the scoring.  Matthew Hawkins and Sam Taylor won the loser’s two consolation rubbers.


Hampshire County 1st & 2nd Teams 06/11/07  Both the County 1st and 2nd teams are in action this weekend. The 1st team play Essex, Lancashire and Warwickshire at Nottingham University while the 2nd team take on Derbyshire, Middlesex and Nottinghamshire at Milton Keynes in National Division 2.  This is the 2nd team's first appearance in the National Divisions having just gained promotion from the Regional Leagues

The matches in both divisions will be difficult and really good performances will be necessary if both teams are to avoid relegation.
